Catching up!

Hello to all readers,

I am now catching up on my missed entries, I will have to shorten it because there is a lot to talk about!

After we left Abu Dhabi we were headed for Paris. When we finally arrived in Paris after a long and treacherous flight, oh who am I kidding we flew business class! We landed into Charles De Ghaul airport which was shockingly bad, it was hot, stunk and was in bad working order (stains and broken chairs). After passing through the airport after a while we picked up the hire car and headed to our accommodation which was out of the city it was about a half an hour drive, it was lucky that we had the Tom-Tom navigator because there were so many round-a-bouts and turns it was just unbelievable! To cut a long story short it was a good idea to rent a car, but if you are thinking about it then get the navigator. The accommodation was great, it was located on Charles De Ghualle ave (no sure about spelling) and it was fantastic!

Paris Disneyland is ove rated. If you are a pioneer of Disneyland then it will be disappointing but if you aren't then it will do. It was just that the crew weren't as good and that the gardens weren't maintained very well (America is better).

After our day at Disneyland we ventured into Les Eyzies which was a five and half hour drive! Talk about long. For the first hour we were stuck in traffic just to escape the city! One we reached Les Eyzies it was beautiful. We then saw the 14,000 year old caves which had paintings from the Chro-magonon humans. It was great and would definitely recommend it! Moving on, after our three days had expired we were on the road to Paris! The is a six hour drive by the time you factor in the traffic into the city.

Once arrived at Paris we got settled into to our apartment which was great, has Effiel Tower views! We have been to the Musee D'Orsay, Monet's garden, we have been to Versailles (on a fat tyre bike tour, amazing and strongly recommend it!). All were great!

Day Two

Hello to all readers,

Where I last left off I was in the business class lounge relaxing, but fast forward half an hour and I was sitting in business class seats drinking Pepsi waiting for the plane to take off! the seats had a control panel with the TV at your feet so that you could extend the flat bed and watch movies and TV, ect. When we were cruising thirty thousand feet above ground it was relaxation and dinner time, with a bit of sleep.

I am now in Abu Dhabi! This really is not as alien as I thought! The sand dunes are incredible, seeing as we were driven 300 kms into the desert. We are I will post the full name i the next journal. It was 8:19am by the time Mum and I reached the accommodation and the first thing that we noticed was the scorching heat, however, this as different to in the city where it was humid, very humid.

By the time we had settled down we decided that we were hungry and went to the buffet one of the three options for food in the accommodation. This buffet was extraordinary, there was everything, you name it! Cakes, Pastries, Arabic spicy foods, fruits, exotic juices, even desserts AT breakfast!! Not to mention all of the food was delicious, I loved everything. The service was also great to the extent that they would pull out a chair for you and place the napkins across your lap. They would check how you where every one and a while and ask to refill your drinks. They always had a smile.

After this amazing breakfast Mum and I decided to check with the reception to see whether our room was ready. Once it was ready we were driven via a buggy to our villa, this was a cool. I swear everything looked as if it was from Assassin's creed! It was not just the food that was incredible, the building were amazing and looks very old and traditional like they were around four hundred years ago. Once we arrived at our villa we then realised that we had hit the jackpot, it was extraordinary, Photos will be posted!!!

For the rest of the day Mum and I just chilled and relaxed by the pool and Skyped with people from home.

Thanks for reading, Harry!

Day One

Take off!

Hello to all readers,

Today marked a special day seeing as I was departing Australia and heading to a totally Alien land! I am talking about Abu Dhabi! It is well know for its rich and sandy deserts as well as its vast and vibrant culture! I have never seen this landscape before even though I have immersed myself in the Australian landscapes and have seen first hand sunsets, snow and mountainous ranges!

As I sit here and type the first entry into my travel blog I stop and gaze outside to the view of planes slowly making their way down the runways I think about the next twenty days and what I want to see and learn. I am tired and I think I will conclude today’s blog, but hopefully in the next couple of days I should have some interesting things to show and tell (takes me back to the third grade)!

Harry!
